"It has been my highest honor serving the dying and their families through hospice nursing since 2000, and in private practice as an End-of-Life Doula since 2005. Through my leadership activities as first Chair of NHPCO’s End-of-Life Doula Advisory Council
, I am excited to be a part of bringing this new role to hospices and palliative care organizations around the country.
As a founding member and 1st Vice President of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, it has been my joy to bring standards to this role in the professional arena and create an understanding of how we may empower all to die well in this modern age. Many years in the making, it is beautiful to witness my bestselling book, “Accompanying the Dying: Practical Heart-Centered Wisdom for End-of-Life Doulas and Healthcare Advocates,” guide families and practitioners through the advanced illness through early bereavement time period.
Our programs support our free education and my dedication to ensuring people have equal access to the information and guidance to care for each other through dying. Know that your study with me supports dying well all around the world. You will learn to Serve Others in 'The Doula Way.'"
